Arambakkam is a town located in Thiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu. It is at a distance of 65km north of Chennai on NH5, Chennai - Kolkata highway. The town is at a distance of 2km from the Tamil Nadu - Andhra Pradesh border. Arambakkam Railway Station is at a distance of 5km from the town and is located on the Chennai - Vijayawada line. Passenger trains and EMUs stop at this station. Buses towards Tirupathi via Kalahasti, Nellore, Vijayawada and Vizag pass through Arambakkam. Arambakkam station is the last station located on the northern most tip of Tamil Nadu.
