tv_com_id = "TV total" is a German late-night television comedy talk show that has run since March 8, 1999, on ProSieben and is currently aired at around 23:15 from Monday to Thursday. It is similar to the "Tonight Show" with Jay Leno.

Created, produced, and hosted by Stefan Raab, "TV total" focusses in particular on mocking the funniest moments from other shows on German television; it also features Raab in his outside reports, and interviewing national and international celebrity guests. As is common with German talk show hosts, Raab is bilingual. His shows are chiefly in German but he also speaks fluent English when interviewing his English-speaking guests, who have included the bands Coldplay, Metallica, and Manowar, martial-arts star Jackie Chan, Paris Hilton,and Kylie Minogue. The show has its own band, the Heavytones, and most of the guest musicians and comedians regularly perform live on stage.

Since February 2001, the show has also featured Elton as Raab's intern and sidekick.

"TV total" is the only show in the world with a floating interview stage that can be moved from one studio corner to the other.

"TV total" featured buttons with sounds and clips long before Craig Ferguson's "The Late Late Show".

* "Sex and the City" star Kim Cattrall surprised viewers in November 2005 by being able to speak some German, revealing she even lived in Frankfurt, Germany, at one point in her life since her husband at the time was German. * Bass player and nude enthusiast Evil Jared Hasselhoff from The Bloodhound Gang stripped nude on "TV total" in September 2005. He even showed off his testicle, which had the logo of the show painted on it. * Australian singer Kylie Minogue has appeared live on the show seven times, and twice more on pre-filmed material. Each time she has appeared, Stefan Raab teaches her to speak in Cologne dialect. She also promoted her hits "Your Disco Needs You", "Can't Get You Out Of My Head", "Come Into My World", "Red Blooded Woman", and "I Believe In You" on the show.
* Eminem was a guest on the show in April 2004 where he repeatedly exposed his buttocks and swore in German to the audience.
