The Rosedales are an American Horror Punk band from Chicago, Illinois heavily influenced by The Misfits, Iron Maiden, Danzig, KISS, Peter Steele, Martin Denny, Rob Zombie, horror film, and the imagery of Halloween. Previously known as "The Onlys", a tribute to Jerry Only of The Misfits, they changed their name after another band from Texas threatened to sue. They took their new name from a local Chicago park that is rumored to be haunted by four ghosts.

The four-man lineup consists of Mark Danger (lead vocals and bass), Christian Danger (drums), Johnny Krypt (guitar), and Rip Fantom (guitar and vocals).

The band claims that they are ghosts: two brothers, one who died in Germany, the other in Chicago, burned as a witch. Another was killed at Gettysburg (shot in the face) in 1863, and the fourth died in a "Hot-Rod" accident in the summer of 1965, at the stroke of midnight. Although they wear corpse paint like The Misfits and other Horror punk bands, they claim it is "not" makeup or paint.

Under their old name, "The Only's" they released one album called "Gravest Hits", on Friday the 13th, October 2000. Their second album, "Raise Your Spirits", was released just before Halloween in 2003. On Halloween 2005 an internet-only single was released containing the song "Nightgown." A music video for "It's Midnight" was also released in 2005 and was aired on JBTV and cable.

The band travels to all their gigs in a Hot rod 1965 Cadillac Hearse, with flames painted on it. Mark and Christian Danger have stated that some of their favorite horror films include The Shining and The Exorcist, as well as films by David Lynch and Alfred Hitchcock.

Former Misfits drummer, Dr. Chud (of Dr. Chud's X-Ward) hired Mark Danger as a Bass player for his 2007 Halloween tour "Nurses and Curses."

The Rosedales are popular among fans of the Horror Rock genere for their original sound. The band views their sound as a mix of classic Punk, Rockabilly, and Elvis, with a dash of modern and 50s Rock. They are also influenced by early 1980s New Wave music.

On September 13, 2007 the band stated on their official blog that "The new album is 99% complete. All 13 tracks have been recorded and are currently in the final mixing stage." The new album was slated for an April 2008 release.
