First Student is a brand used by FirstGroup for school bus transportation in the United States. According to the company's website, it is the largest provider of school bus services in the US, with more than 62,000 buses. First Student is a sister company to First Transit.

First Student was created in 1999 when FirstGroup acquired Ryder's student transportation division. More school bus companies were subsequently acquired, and when in 2007 FirstGroup acquired Laidlaw, Laidlaw's school bus operations were merged with First Student. The brand has since been expanded into the United Kingdom, where First Student provides new pupil transportation services. One bus has toured the country on trials.
