Lee Hills (journalist)

Lee Hills (1906-2000) was an editor and publisher of the Miami Herald and the Detroit Free Press. He was the first president of the Knight Ridder news service after he helped arrange the merger of Knight Newspapers and Ridder Publications [http://www.findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3613/is_200005/ai_n8885848] .

He was president of the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation [http://www.knightfdn.org/default.asp?story=news_at_knight/newsletters/43_winter2000/index.html#43Lee] .
