[http://www.calchristiancollege.org California Christian College] is a private Free Will Baptist [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Free_Will_Baptist] college in Fresno, California [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fresno%2C_California] . It was born from the vision of forty-eight Free Will Baptist Churches in 1955. Churches in the western U.S. found trained pastors to be in short supply. CCC was established to fulfill this need. The first classes of the college were held in the First Free Will Baptist church of Richmond, CA. Today the college is located on four acres at the corner of University and Winery. Since its founding the college has operated continuously except for 1985-86, when the governing board re-evaluated the college’s needs and mission. Classes resumed in the Fall of 1986.

CCC is owned and operated by the California State Association of Free Will Baptists. A Board of Trustees comprises the ruling body. The president functions as the administrative officer of the college under the direction of the Board of Trustees. CCC, its governing board, administration, staff, and faculty are in agreement with and committed to the theological position as stated in A Treatise of the Faith and Practices of the Original Free Will Baptists [http://fwbbc.edu/About/documents/Treatise.pdf] , published by the National Association of Free Will Baptists. The student body is composed of many denominational backgrounds. Those who hold doctrinal perspectives which differ with those of Free Will Baptists rest assured that, while CCC's doctrinal distinctives are unapologetically taught and advocated, that non-Free Will Baptist student and his or her doctrinal position is be treated with respect and in a Christlike manner.

California Christina College has a few degree programs to choose from AA in Bible and Christian Ministry, BA in Bible and Christian Ministry and BA in Bible and Theology. The student body comprises many students who will not make ministry a full time job, but seek to further their knowledge of the Bible to help them in their personal or even organized church ministries.

This year California Christina College celebrated it's 50th year in operations with its annual banquet that drew people from not only all over the state but from all parts of the country.

Mission Statement

The mission of California Christian College is to prepare men and women, through quality Bible-based Christian education, to serve Christ effectively in His church and throughout society.

Purpose Statement

The constituency and ownership of California Christian College, the California State Association of Free Will Baptists and CCC alumni have clearly articulated their desire for CCC to establish Christian ministry programs for the purpose of developing capable Christian leaders to serve Christ both in the Church and in society. The college seeks Christian students who are serious about Christian education, doing the will of God and preparing for church related ministries, either on the lay or professional level.

The college is committed to upholding the cardinal doctrines of the traditional Christian faith, the distinctives of the sponsoring denomination and the belief that Christian education must deal with the moral, social, spiritual, and academic dimensions of the student. The AA and BA programs emphasize the following: (1) a major in Bible and Christian ministry as the heart of each educational program, (2) a Biblical-Christian worldview as the integrating factor for the entire curriculum, (3) Biblical standards of morals and ethics and (4) the concept that all students are preparing for Christian living and service.
