Pontiac Township High School (PTHS) is a public high school for grades 9-12 in Pontiac, Illinois, USA. PTHS offers over 100 courses, including nine AP classes. It is associated with the Livingston Area Career Center to provide additional career opportunities for students. The first class of 24 students graduated in 1898.

Bass Fishing Team

Pontiac has been known statewide for sometime for having a great football program. The Indians won the 1993 3A state chapionship and became 5A runner-up in the 2002 football campaign. Since the 1993 Season the Indians have won 10 consecutive cornbelt conference championships and 15 consecutive playoff appearances. The Indians were led by head coach Mick Peterson and Coach Dave Young

Pontiac hosts the United States' oldest Holiday Tournament.^{[citation needed]}

Prairie Central is Pontiac's Rival, and dispute which one is better.

Music program

The Pontiac Township Marching Indians are directed by Scot Shickel and Kieth Schmink The team has competed nationally and has won a number of awards, including:

Pontiac also hosts the annual Indian Showdown marching competition.

The choral program is directed by Randi Morrison and includes Concert Choir, Boys Chorus, and the Treble 1 and 2 choirs. She also is in charge of the annual Madrigal Dinners.

The drama program alternates annually between a musical and non-musical. The director, Tom Ramseyer, has chosen "Death by Chocolate" as their non-musical this year^{[clarification needed]}.
