Pressure Dance

Pressure Dance

The Pressure Dance is a dance move started by Pressure MC of the Hilltop Hoods at the 2006 ARIA awards.

The dance involves full body flexage with the right arm raised in the air, often holding some form of microphone, to the beat of the music. A highly flexible spine is also required, so it is a move that requires extreme skill from the performer.

Pressure dancing is considered adaptable to any kind of music, and has been particularly prominent in both ballroom dancing and ballet since the beginning of 2007.

It is best demonstrated by the video showing its conception, which can be found [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6o_cg4QSFk here] at approximately 40 seconds into the video.

Notable pieces of music that have been pressure danced to include: The Nosebleed Section and Secret Smile.
