Árni Sigfússon

Árni Sigfússon is the former mayor of Reykjavík, Iceland's capital and is the current mayor of the town of Reykjanesbær, Iceland.

He stepped in as a mayor in Reykjavík for a few months for his party in 1994. He was on the board of Heimdallur from 1976 to 1979 and was its chairman from 1981 to 1983. He then later became the chairman of SUS.

He has mainly worked as the chief executive of the Icelandic Management Association (Stjórnunarfélagið) and the chief-executive and later the president of the large Icelandic corporation Tæknival. He studied Public Administration at the University of Tennessee in the United States.
