"Note: The song is recorded almost entirely in Japanese, and inaccuracies in translation are inevitable."

"Lucky Man" is a song that combines rap music and pop music with elements of brass band and vocal music. The song opens with the rap segment of Sakurai Sho. The rap segment is divided into two parts. In the first part, Sakurai announces that the "Lucky boyz [are] in house" and enjoins the "audience"; that when he says "Lucky" "they" say "man". Accessed November 10, 2007.] The second part is a fast rap; the lyrics of which describe of chaotic life. In the first verse, the lyrics describe how unsolved difficulty should be left alone to solve itself. The song then leads into its first chorus. It tells of taking the world into one's hands and taking it for a spin, and to seek for treasure.

The second verse tells how "accepting reality can result into good outcome", before leading into the second chorus which adds an additional verse of "living life full of joy and color". It also includes the line "No. 1 Hero of new salvation! I am so lucky man!" (Note the Engrish), pertaining to the words of the second verse of the song. A third rap segment follows, with themes and structure similar to the second part of the opening rap segment. A last chorus ends with a line that translates to "You can do anything in this life". An instrumental accompanied by brass instruments leads to a vocal piece with the phrase "La-La-La-La-La-La-La-La-La-Lucky Man!" (A similar arrangement can be heard in the music sample). The song closes with another brass instrumental. In between the verses (and the last rap segment) and choruses, is a solo line rendered by Satoshi Ohno, who is the lead vocal throughout most of the song.

Promotional Video

Although the song has never been released as a physical single, it has a promotional video. It was used to promote the albums, "How's It Going?" and "", where the video was first released on DVD. The video opens with the members of the band on their back being carried by fans. Solo shots were filmed in front of large, plastic balls and group shots with elaborate dance sequences were filmed in a shallow pool, as if the group were dancing on the surface of the water. This allowed the dance moves to be reflected on the pool and be accented by the movement of the water. The video ends with the group raising their arms, with the hands in a "number one" gesture.
