Tania Peitzker

Tania Peitzker, (born March 1, 1970), a writer, literary scholar and publicist for the Creative Industries.

Tania Peitzker was awarded a PhD in 2000 by the University of Potsdam [University of Potsdam, Unizeitung PUTZ, Announcement for completed doctoral theses in 2000] for her Cultural Studies analysis [cite paper |last=Peitzker |first=Tania |authorlink= |title=Dymphna Cusack 1902 - 1981 |version= |publisher=The German National Library |date=2000 |url= |format= |id= |accessdate=] of the twentieth century Australian author, Dymphna Cusack. This work won the inaugural "Australia Award" in 1998, created by the annual awards´ jury of the International Federation of University Women in Geneva, Switzerland.

In the field of drama, Tania Peitzker wrote and directed "Life with Marion" (1990) which ran for two seasons due to its popularity; one at the Metro Arts Theatre's dance studios and another at the Cement Box Theatre.

"Life with Marion" deals with contemporary society's ideas of love, religion, health and family. The three act play was first produced through government and university grants, while its second season was funded by box office revenue.

She recently completed a new play, this time dealing with themes of spirituality, gender, migration and ageing. The three act play is entitled "Gargoyles" and has a cast of two - or four - young and elderly women. Meanwhile, the manuscript of a four act, epic drama written in verse, "Crux", has been reworked since its inception ten years ago.

Aside from her literary output, Tania Peitzker became an entrepreneur in 2006 when she founded a Creative Industries agency, EU public relations ©, http://www.eupublicrelations.com in Berlin. A spin out of EU PR (registered as a business in Germany) is the e-newspaper My Own Reporter ©, being piloted in 2008 and to be run by global partners.
