History

The church first opened its doors in the mid 1990s and has been operating since. The current practising priest is Revd. Fr. Christos Stephanou.

Renovation

The Church began its renovation program in 2007 whereby it had the roof restored, a new ceiling installed and has begun to cover the walls with frescoes depicting various biblical scenes in a byzantine style. This will add to the previous paintings in the Holy of Holies.

Youth Conference

The Church held it's first annual Orthodox Youth Conference on the 26th January 2008. The conference began with a divine liturgy in the morning followed by three sessions each consisting of a talk by various speakers. The first session was on The Sacraments of Baptism, the Eucharist and Confession. The guest speaker was Archimandrite Chrysostomos Michaelides. The second session was on the subject We are the Temple of the Holy Spirit and the speaker was Archimandrite Zacharias of the monastery of St John the Baptist in Essex, England. The final session was a talk on The three stages of the Spiritual Life again by Archimandrite Zacharias of Essex. It then finished off with a Vespers service.
