Offseason

* October 9, 1970: Denny McLain was traded by the Detroit Tigers with Elliott Maddox, Norm McRae, and Don Wert to the Washington Senators for Ed Brinkman, Aurelio Rodríguez, Joe Coleman, and Jim Hannan.
