Radio Luxembourg are a Welsh psychedelic pop group who formed in Aberystwyth, Wales in 2005. The band's frontman and main song-writer is Meilyr Jones (formerly of the band Mozz) - who also plays bass. Dylan "Huggies" Hughes plays the synth. Gwion Llewelyn is the drummer, and Alun "Gaff" Gaffey (of the Welsh psych-skiffle band Pwsi Meri Mew) is the guitarist. All their released material so far has been produced by former Gorky's Zygotic Mynci frontman Euros Childs. The band have recently finished work on their debut album, which is being produced by themselves and David Wrench.

History

In the summer of 2007 the band performed at festivals such as Tapestry Goes West, and Glastonbury, as well as touring with Euros Childs, for whom they served as backing band. [ [http://www.bbc.co.uk/glastonbury/2007/artists/radioluxembourg/ Band's page] on bbc.co.uk's Glastonbury mini-site] Later in the same year, the band played at the Camden Electric Ballroom supporting Siouxsie Sioux as part of the BBC Electric Proms Festival, and went on the BBC Introducing... British Tour as part of the same event.

The artwork for their last two releases ("Diwrnod efo'r Anifeiliaid" and "Where is Dennis?/Cartoon Cariad") was designed by the artist Ruth Jên who has also designed a stage set with the band for their live performances.
