Offseason

*November 20, 1957: Billy Martin was traded by the Kansas City Athletics with Mickey McDermott, Tom Morgan, Lou Skizas, Tim Thompson, and Gus Zernial to the Detroit Tigers for a player to be named later, Bill Tuttle, Jim Small, Duke Maas, John Tsitouris, Frank House, and Kent Hadley. The Detroit Tigers sent Jim McManus (April 3, 1958) to the Kansas City Athletics to complete the trade.
