Pella (Greek:Polytonic|Λέων ὁ Πελλαῖος) or Leo the Egyptian (4th century BC ) was a historian and theologian ofMacedon ian origin. He wrote the book "On the Gods in Egypt, (Polytonic|Περὶ τῶν κατ' Αἴγυπτον Θεῶν)", based on anapocryphal letter ofAlexander the Great to his motherOlympias . He was a contemporary ofEuhemerus and explained similarly the human origin of the Gods.References
