The following is a complete chronology of the various line-ups of Aerosmith, from the group's inception in 1970 until the present, including all former and current band members, as well as listings of substitute and touring musicians.

*Jesse (Jessey) Sky Kramer - drums, percussion (2002, 2005)
**Periodically substituted for his father, Joey Kramer, who was recovering from shoulder injuries
*Steve Ferrone - drums, percussion (August 1996-September 1996)
**Substituted for Joey Kramer during pre-production for the "Nine Lives" album, as Kramer was ill and grieving the loss of his father

**Substituted for Brad Whitford, who was grieving the loss of a family member
