Gimp (band)

Gimp was a three piece punk band from East Brunswick, New Jersey.

They were fronted by Tomas Kalnoky, who later went on to write, sing and play guitar for famed third-wave ska bands Catch 22, Streetlight Manifesto, and acoustic ensemble Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution. Gimp released one cassette in 1995, entitled "Smiles for Macavity", likely named after the cat, a subject of a poem. At the time, Tomas was 15.

The band featured drummer Chris Greer and bassist Jason Scharenguivel, Greer later became a member of Catch 22. Kalnoky's brother Achilles also played violin on the track "Supernothing".
