Edward Curzon, 6th Earl Howe

Edward Richard Assheton Penn Curzon, 6th Earl Howe CBE (7 August 1908–29 May 1984) was a British peer, known as Viscount Curzon from 1929-1964.

Family

He was the eldest son of Francis Curzon, 5th Earl Howe and his wife, Mary Curzon. He married twice, first to Priscilla Weigall, daughter of Lt.-Col. Sir Archibald Weigall, 1st Bt., on 23 July 1935. Secondly,on 30 April 1946, Curzon married Grace Lilian Barker Wakeling, who died 24 December 1985, daughter of Stephen Frederick Wakeling, of Durban, Natal, South Africa.

From both marriages, he had only daughters. From his second marriage with Grace Wakeling, he is a grandparent of Isabella Calthorpe.

He was succeeded in the earldom by his second cousin removed, who was a grandson of the 3rd earl.
