The Cloud (company)

The Cloud is a UK-based company operating a Europe-wide wireless broadband network, including Wi-Fi broadband internet hotspots at over 8500 locations across Denmark, Germany, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom, to provide Wi-Fi enabled devices with Wi-Fi services on the move.

The company has grown to become Europe's largest wireless network provider, partnering with companies such as BT, Skype, Vodafone, Nintendo and McDonalds to provide more locations or services to users with compliant devices.

In November 2007, The Cloud signed a contract with network provider O2 to provide internet access to Apple iPhone users with an O2 iPhone contract in the UK.

Hotspots are usually found in or around town / city centres and are also found in some hotels, public houses, cafés, and, shops.
