Etymologicon magnum

Etymologicon magnum

Etymologicon Magnum ( _el. Ετυμολογικόν Μέγα) is a lexicon of the Greek language written by an unknown lexicographer around 1100 AD. It is based on many ancient sources, including Stephanus Byzantius and Diogeneianos (or Diogenianus). It was published for the first time in Venice in 1499 by Marcos Mousouros and later in Oxford (1848) by Thomas Gaisford (see also Etymologicum Genuinum).
