"Si demain... (Turn Around)" is a 2003 bilingual song recorded by Bonnie Tyler and Kareen Antonn, and written by Emmanuel Pribys. It was released on December 19, 2003, as the lead single from Tyler's album "Simply Believe", and became a huge hit in France, where it topped the chart for three months, and in other French-speaking European countries. Background and writing

Bonnie Tyler had a hit with "Total Eclipse of the Heart" in 1984. Kareen Antonn explained that in 2003, along with her friend Emmanuel Pribys, she had the idea to record a French adaptation of "Total Eclipse of the Heart" as a duet with Bonnie Tyler and a demo was sent to Tyler. During interviews, Tyler explained the way the duet happened. The only thing that frightened me was singing in French, because I don't speak it at all". She overcame this fear with help from Antonn. After the unexpected success of the single, Antonn and Tyler decided to record another French language remake of one of Tyler's hits. "It's a Heartache" was released on June 7, 2004, as "Si tout s'arrête (It's a Heartache)" , but didn't have the same success and peaked at #12 on the week of its debut on the French SNEP Singles Chart. Antonn and Tyler sing while they are sitting in front of a snowed up chalet. Antonn has a puppy in her arms, while Tyler drinks a cup of coffee. We learn during the video that Antonn left her boyfriend by writing a split letter to him while he slept. She hitch hiked and was picked up by Tyler. At the end of the video, the two singers play with dogs in snow.

Music and lyrics

"Si demain... (Turn Around)" is a bilingual song, recorded in English and in French. Antonn sings all French verses, while Tyler sings all English passages. When one of them sings the verses, the other repeat "Je tourne en rond" (Tyler)/"Turn around" (Antonn) at the end of each one of these verses. In the chorus, while the first is entirely in French, the second is sung respectively in English by Tyler and in French by Antonn.
