Tulgheş

Tulgheş is a commune in Harghita county, Romania.It has about to 3.751inhabitants,estimated at the population counting in 1992:2409 Romanians,1312 Hungarians and 28 gipsies.The commune is crossed by the Bistricioara and the Putna rivers.The most of the population are Romanians,but there are Hungarians too. The commune is situated in the long of the DN15 road and it's neighbours are Grinties,Corbu,Bicazul-Ardelean and Ditrau. It's mayor is Ungureanu Toader since 2004,and he was re-elected in 2008. The mountains from the commune are:Giurgeu Mountains with an altitude situated between 1100 and 1300 m,with the summits Fagetel (1351 m), Fagul Inalt (1354 m), Muntele Nou (1460 m),Tatarul (1481 m);North Hasmas Mountains(Superior Bicaz Mountains )with the summits Highes(1502 m),Chicera (1345 m), Hagota–est Vitas (1609 m);Bistrita Mountains with the summits Piatra Rosie (1215 m) si Piatra Runcului (1518 m).
