United States Senate special election in Pennsylvania, 1991

The 1991 United States Senate Special Election in Pennsylvania was held on November 5, 1991. Incumbent Democratic Senator Harris Wofford defeated Republican former Governor and Attorney General Dick Thornburgh by a margin of ten points. The election was held because of the death due to the death of Republican Senator H. John Heinz III on April 4 of that year.
