MS Rotterdam

The MS "Rotterdam" is a cruise ship, the sixth Holland America Line vessel to bear the name, and is the Atlantic flagship of the fleet. Built in Italy in 1997, the "Rotterdam" features fine art and antiques, an Internet center, and a spa and fitness center.

In October of 2004, it lost power during Hurricane Karl while doing a transatlantic crossing. Many passengers suffered injuries during this period; the most severe being a broken femur. [ [http://archive.boatnerd.com/archiveg/9-04/00011bea.htm MS Rotterdam in hurricane] ]

The "Rotterdam" carries an art collection onboard worth over $2 Million.
