"The Latest Buzz" is a current Canadian sitcom from Decode Entertainment airing on the Family Channel. The second season of the Latest Buzz is currently being aired on Disney Channel. This is Family Channel's first original multi-camera sitcom. As part as Spring Break-Out celebrations, the "Latest Buzz" cast and Family and Cineplex Entertainment hosted a launch party for the show. From March 13th until April 2nd, the "Latest Buzz" cast visited Ottawa, Queensway, Oakville, Vancouver, Edmonton, and Winnipeg Cineplex theaters. Interviews featuring the cast of the Latest Buzz have been featured frequently on Disney Channel and Family.

In this series, a struggling youth magazine, "Teen BUZZ", replaces its staff with actual teens. Instead of being in class, five 14-year-old writers take their last period of the day at the magazine’s posh offices, learning about the fast-paced world of publishing.

Characters and their Columns

* Rebecca Harper: A happy, eager, girl who sets her sights high and has lofty dreams, such as winning the Pulitzer Prize. Rebecca writes the "Student Issues" column, also known as 'In So Many Words'. She is played by Zoë Belkin. She appears to be the only person (out of all her 5 co-writers) that really intends to become a journalist. She has a crush on her fellow buzz journalist Noah.

* Michael Davies : A quirky writer capable of reporting on big stories, Michael writes the "Entertainment" column (Also known as 'Name Dropping'). He is played by Demetrius Joyette. Michael is hip and always has so much to say about "everything". He always has his camera with him, and is constantly trying to find out some hot celebrity news. A fabulous dresser with a healthy ego, Michael is best friends with Rebecca, but gradually becomes better and better friends with both Noah and Wilder.

* Noah Jackson: A sarcastic joker who frequently makes fun of others, Noah is considered the playful misfit, the kid you can't help but want to be around. The only difference is at work, his fellow writers can't afford to just dismiss him. Noah covers "Music." and his column is 'Ear to the Ground'. He is the middle child and has a little sister named Carly. He is played by Justin Kelly. Noah is in love with Rebecca, though he works hard at denying it. Before long Noah does admitt his crush to Rebecca and they end up dating.

* Amanda Pierce: The magazine owner's daughter, Amanda covers "Fashion". She is played by Vanessa Morgan. The "daddy's little rich girl", Amanda gets everything she wants and lives a charmed life, but is supersmart with the grades to prove it. Even though she and Rebecca may fight, they have mutual respect for each other. Amanda's column is 'Fashion Forward'. She admitted to her father that she has a crush on Wilder.

* Wilder: Gaming obsessed and willing to try anything, Wilder covers "Gaming". He is played by Munro Chambers. Wilder's column is 'Game On'. As good-natured as they come, Wilder is completely clueless about everything except sports and gaming. At school, Wilder is the man, and at work, Wilder is the man. He has an ability to fit in wherever he is and gets along with whoever he's with.
