Syon Lane railway station is in the London Borough of Hounslow in west London. It is in Travelcard Zone 4. The station and all trains serving it are operated by South West Trains. It was opened in 1931 by the Southern Railway. [M R Bonavia "The History of the Southern Railway" Unwin Hyman, 1987 ISBN 0-04-385107-X, p64]

The station, which has no building apart from a passenger shelter on each platform, is on Syon Lane, which crosses the Great West Road at Gillette Corner. An alternative entrance is located on Rothbury Gardens, adjacent to the eastbound platform. It serves a small residential area but most users are workers at one of the large developments on the Golden Mile.

A scheme of Hounslow Council to include the Hounslow Loop Line in the Crossrail route, would have had Crossrail trains stopping at Syon Lane. It is unlikely that this will happen.

Services

The typical off-peak service from the station is six trains per hour to London Waterloo — four direct via Brentford, two circuitously round the Hounslow Loop via Hounslow and Richmond — and two trains per hour to Weybridge.
