Wootton, West Oxfordshire

Wootton is a village in West Oxfordshire, England, located near to the town of Woodstock.

To distinguish it from another village of the same name in Oxfordshire – Wootton, Vale of White Horse – it is often referred to as Wootton-by-Woodstock.

The medieval church of St Mary is in the benefice of Wootton with Glympton and Kiddington.

Education in the village is served by Wootton-by-Woodstock CE Primary School, a Church of England-aided primary school.

The village contains two public houses, The Kings Head Inn and Killingworth Castle Inn.
