Louise Jones (born June 8 1963 in Chatham, Kent, England [ [http://www.cyclingnews.com/results/1999/worlds99/results/wrrresults99.html 'Edita bags it, another silver for Anna'] ] ) is a Welsh former racing cyclist. Jones retired from racing in 2000, and since then has worked as a commissaire for the UCI, she had worked as a British commissaire at national level since 1994 [ [http://www.womenscycling.net/2005/Interviews/04_002_LJones.htm Interview with Louise Jones, womenscycling.net 2005] ] .

Jones won the first ever gold medal for women in cycling at the Commonwealth Games, when women's cycling was first introduced to the games in Auckland, Australia in 1990 [ [http://www.britishcycling.org.uk/news/2002/games/_cg_contents.html News on British Cycling website, 2002] ] . She finished fourth in the 1998 Commonwealth Games road race in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 1998. She also represented Britain in the UCI Road World Championships in 1991 and the 2002 Olympic Games in Barcelona, Spain.

Jones took time out from competing between 1994 and 1997 to have children with her husband Phil, a cyclist and plumber.
