Rick Durrett

Rick Durrett

Richard Timothy Durrett is a mathematician known for his research andbooks on mathematical probability theory, stochastic processes and theirapplication to mathematical ecology and population genetics.

He received his Ph.D. at Stanford University in 1976 under advisor DonaldIglehart, and since 1985 has been on the faculty at Cornell University.

He was elected to the United States National Academy of Sciences in 2007.
