Tylertown is a town in Walthall County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 1,910 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Walthall CountyGR|6.

Geography

Tylertown is located at coor dms|31|6|58|N|90|8|34|W|city (31.116209, -90.142817)GR|1.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 3.1 square miles (7.2 km²), of which, 3.0 square miles (7.2 km²) of it is land and 0.33% is water.

Education

Tylertown is served by the Walthall County School District.The schools are Tylertown High School, Dexter High School and Salem Attendence Center.
