"Ceanothus thyrsiflorus" (Blueblossom or Blue blossom ceanothus) is an evergreen plant in the genus "Ceanothus" and native to California.

It can grow more than 6 meters (20 feet) tall in its native habitat. There are different variations, for example 'Blue Mound' which can grow to 1.5 meters (5 feet) tall, 'Cascade' which may reach 8 meters (25 feet) of height, and variation "repens" which stays as a shrub around 1-3 meters (3-10 feet) tall.
