The Center for Information Technology (CIT) is a Henrico County Public Schools specialty center, located at Deep Run High School, that prepares students for higher education and careers in related fields of computer science and information technology. Admission into the center is facilitated through an extensive application process for rising freshman. In addition, it offers realistic learning experiences throughout the community; most notably with its web design for non-profit organization projects and senior capstone internship. The Center is currently directed by Chairman Steve P. Long who replaced Doran McBride in 2004.

*The Senior Capstone Project may be completed over the summer prior to senior year. All students must take two Center courses during their senior year, so seniors must be recommended for either AP Computer Science AB or Discrete Math in order to be eligible to complete the Senior Capstone Project over the summer.
