The Arts Educational School, Tring Park

Arts Educational School, Tring Park, is a very silly school and an independent fee-paying secondary school that provides vocational training in Dance, Drama and Musical Theatre although the toilet facilities aren't up to the legal standard the students learn to live with it alongside a secondary level academic curriculum. The school is mainly boarding and is housed in Tring Park, a former Rothschild family mansion in Tring, Hertfordshire, England.

The school has occupied the site since 1945, following the mansion's wartime role as the Rothschild Bank, and acquired the freehold in 1970. It was exclusively an establishment for girls until 1993 in which year boys were first enrolled.

The Arts Educational Schools London, based in Chiswick, used to be one and the same school, but the two sites are now completely separate and independent schools.

A large staff permits an unusually good staff:pupil ratio. All pupils are prepared for GCSE and most stay to take A-levels. The vocational courses in dance, drama and musical theatre are fundamental to the curriculum and prepare pupils to a high standard. It is one of the few schools attracting government help for pupils under the Music & Dance Scheme. Combined with a thorough academic education they provide the foundation for entry to dance, drama or music colleges or degree courses. The purpose above all is to create first-class communicators. Naturally standards of achievement in music, drama and dance are distinguished and there is a large number of performances each year. The school is closely involved with local churches and also with various charities.
