Hull Blitz

Hull Blitz

The Hull Blitz was the German bombing campaign targeted on the Northern English port city of Kingston upon Hull (commonly referred to as 'Hull') in 1941, during World War II.

Together with London, Hull was the most heavily bombed city in the UK, with 95% of its houses damaged. It endured the first daylight raid of the war and the last piloted air raid. [ [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/humber/6324301.stm Listed status for bombed cinema] ]
