The $18.5 million Cedar Grove Weir is part of the Logan River system that also will include the proposed $500 million Wyaralong Dam on the Teviot Brook and the $39.5 million Bromelton Offstream Storage facility.

Overview

The weir is located 14 km north west of Beaudesert. The project was completed in December 2007 and can provide 11 megalitres of water a day. It is now managed by Queensland Water Infrastructure, a body setup to administer major water infrastructure projects in the region. In conjunction with the South Maclean Weir and water treatment plants, this dam will act as a pumping pool for captured releases from the proposed Wyaralong Dam located upstream. The weir will also connect to the regional SEQ Water Grid.

The weir overflowed for the first time on the 4 January 2008. [cite web |url=http://www.brisbanetimes.com.au/news/queensland/weir-overflows-after-solid-falls/2008/01/04/1198950062617.html|title=Weir overflows after solid falls |accessdate=2008-01-22 |format= |work=Brisbane Times ]
