- Elevator Suite
Elevator Suite is a 3 piece electronic pop group formed in January, 1999 by English DJ Andy Childs who specialized in easy & lounge music, his old friend DJ Paul "Robbo" Roberts, and Steve Grainger, who was working as a producer of a small recording studio in Totnes. The group uses a mixture of rock, jazz and house. Apparent influences in their work range through
the Beatles ,Deodato ,Esquivel ,Antonio Carlos Jobim , thePet Shop Boys ,Burt Bacharach , and earlyAir .Their first single was "Man in a Towel" which quickly gained popularity in the UK and was followed by two more songs ("Barefoot" and "Weekend Wonderboy"). Their first two singles were both crowned as Radio 1’s "Record of the Week", and thereafter they toured Europe in support of UK downtempo band

October 25 ,1999 on Infectious Records.They released their self-titled second album on
October 9 ,2007 on Pure Mint Recordings. Included on this album is a cover ofthe Beatles ' "Eleanor Rigby ". The 2007 lineup consists of Robbo on vocals, Dan Brown on bass (formerly of Bristol chill-out pioneersIlya ), Andy Childs (vocals/tambourines/producer/arranger), Dan Moore (keyboards – has played withCousteau ,Fred Wesley , andRoni Size ), and Jock (drums – an illustrator forDC Comics , his publication ‘The Losers’ is currently being developed into a Hollywood blockbuster withJack Nicholson ).
