Jukurit is an ice hockey team in the Mestis. They play in Mikkeli, Finland, at the Kalevankankaan jäähalli. The team has won 4 league championships (2001, 2002, 2003 and 2006).

History

Mikkelin Jukurit was founded in 1970. The Jukurit's history of the company reached 1998-99 with the season of the turning point. At that time Matti Turunen arrived to be the executive director of Jukurit and Risto Dufva from Jyväskylä to be a head coach. Jukurit shot at once to rise and 1999–2000 got the series place to the season from Suomi-sarja that was just established. In spring 2000, Jukurit celebrated the championship of Suomi-sarja and returned to the Mestis after a 20 year break. Jukurit has won as soon as the spring of first 2001 Mestis-Championship. When Jukurit had won a fourth Championship in spring 2006, Risto Dufva left the team. He became a replacement for the period 2006-2007 Reijo Ruotsalainen, which was already sacked in January. Season the end of the Jukurit to coach Pekka Lipiäinen. Jukurit lost the SM-liiga weed out to KalPa, and were left to Mestis.
