List of tallest buildings in Ottawa-Gatineau

This is a list of the 10 tallest buildings in Ottawa-Gatineau (Canada's National Capital Region). There are zoning controls in downtown Ottawa to ensure that buildings are not taller than 45.5 metres (150 feet) so that the Peace Tower on Parliament Hill at 92.2 metres can dominate the skyline as it is viewed from the Ottawa River. However, rules have been exceeded on some occasions to allow for taller buildings.

It should be noted that the building with the greatest above-sea-level altitude at its top is not the tallest. That honour goes to Carleton University's 22-storey Dunton Tower, since the university is located on a rolling hill with Dunton Tower at its peak.

Tallest buildings in the National Capital Region

*The tallest structure in Ottawa-Gatineau, albeit not a building, is the Ryan Tower in Chelsea, Quebec, a communications mast built in 1968, which is 228.9 metres tall.
