Joys Green

Joy's Green is a village in the Forest of Dean in west Gloucestershire, England.

Amenities

It consists of now mostly privately owned ex council houses and new builds.

It contains a village post office / village shop, and a newly constructed recreation ground with playground equipment

On 22 June,2006, Gloucestershire County Council announced plans to close Joys Green Primary School effective 31 August,2008. [ [http://www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/utilities/action/act_download.cfm?mediaid=11675 Gloucester County Council – Proposed Closure of Joys Green Primary School] ] Children would attend Lydbrook Primary School in Upper Lydbrook, Gloucestershire instead.
