Easiest route =The Hohenstaufen ( _de. der Berg Hohenstaufen) is a mountain in the Swabian Alb with an elevation of 684 m. Together with the Rechberg and Stuifen, it forms the so-called "Three Kaiser mountains". It is easily visible between the towns of Göppingen and Schwäbisch Gmünd, and shapes with its distinctive tapered shape the silhouette of the landscape around Göppingen.

On the hill there is the ruin of Hohenstaufen castle, the one-time seat of the House of Hohenstaufen. The summit is a short walk away from the ruins.

The name is derived from the shape of the mountain, which forms the shape of a chalice ("Stauf").
