Madison County Nature Trail

The Madison County Nature Trail is located on Green Mountain in Huntsville, Alabama. The park features a replica historic covered bridge, a 1.5 mile walking trail, chapel, pavilion, picnic area [cite web |url=http://www.al.com/huntsville/index.ssf?cityguide/attractions.html |title=Local Guide - Huntsville Attractions |work=The Huntsville Times |accessdate=2007-12-27] , and a handicapped accessible area with a Braille trail. Fishing is allowed on Skye Lake for those under 16 and over 60 Monday through Friday while the weekend is reserved for nature lovers. The cost is $1.50 to fish.

Travel directions

Travel south on Memorial Parkway to Weatherly Road East. Turn right on Bailey Cove Road and then left when you come to Green Mountain Road. Turn right at the fork on South Shawdee Road, and the park will be on your right after a few miles.
