"Red Snow" is an episode of the American television series The Twilight Zone. The episode first aired March 21, 1986.

Plot

Russian army Colonel Ilyanov is sent by train to a Siberian town to investigate the deaths of the local Communist Party officials. During his investigations, he notes that the dead officials were drained of their blood. He also meets a young woman named Valentina, who when he check the records, had been exiled by Joseph Stalin 50 years before. One of the town party officials, named Provin, insists that Valentina is nothing more than a descendent of the original woman. As the investigation continues, Colonel Ilyanov and his assistant (Titov) go to search an abandoned church. Before they enter, they hear a wolf wailing in the distance. Colonel Ilyanov follows the sound and finds the woman Valentina, with vampire fangs, feasting on the wolf's blood. Ilyanov is knocked unconscious but upon regaining consciousness, he returns to the abandoned church. Inside, he finds many empty coffins. Titov informs him that he, himself, is a vampire and that the townspeople have agreed to hide the vampires from all over Europe if they would protect them from criminals and wild animals. Ilyanov escapes the church, but is soon caught by the vampires. Valentina informs him that there is something he could do for his nation as the scene ends.

Back in Moscow, Ilyanov informs his boss of the mission results and while he is leaving, he says, how he wished he had more men like him, to what Ilyanov responds: “You will, comrade, you will” as he reveals a set of fangs.
