BowlResult=The 2008 Nebraska Cornhuskers Football Team is the representative of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the 2008 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Cornhuskers will play their home games at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska.

The 2008 Nebraska Cornhuskers Football team took the field on Saturday, August 30th, 2008 against the Western Michigan University Broncos. Despite this performance and significant fan support, Pelini was passed over as Solich's permanent replacement in favor of Bill Callahan. Since Kansas broke their 35 game losing streak to Nebraska in 2005, they have now won two out of three against the Cornhuskers. The 76 points scored by the Jayhawks in the 2007 meeting marked the most points ever allowed by a Nebraska team.
