Mary Arundell, Baroness Arundell

Mary Arundell (née Lady Mary Wriothesley) (c. 1563 – c. June 1607, buried on 27 June 1607 at Tisbury, Wiltshire) was born in Wriothesley, Staffordshire, to Henry Wriothesley, 2nd Earl of Southampton and Mary Browne. She married in 1585, obtaining a marriage licence on 18 June^[1], Thomas Arundell, 1st Baron Arundell of Wardour son of Sir Matthew Arundell and Margaret Willoughby. Lady Mary and Thomas had three children.

Children

• Thomas Arundell, 2nd Baron Arundell of Wardour (c. 1586–1643), who succeeded his father
• Hon. William Arundell, married bef. 22 October 1627 the Hon. Mary Browne (c. 1593 - 13 November 1692), daughter of Anthony-Maria Browne, 2nd Viscount Montagu and Jane Sackville and widow of William Paulett, Viscount St John, and had issue:
  • Mark Arundell, of Horningsham, Wiltshire, unmarried and without issue
  • Charles Arundell (k.i.a. Worcester, Worcestershire), married Lady Mary Talbot (died c. March 1710/11), daughter of John Talbot, 10th Earl of Shrewsbury and Mary Fortescue and widow of Mervyn Tuchet, 4th Earl of Castlehaven, and had issue:
    • Charles Arundell, of Horningsham, Wiltshire, married and had:
      • Mary Arundell, married aft. 1708 Mary Biddulph, son of John Biddulph
  • Mary Arundell (died 24 December 1698), married Sir Henry Tichborne, 3rd Baronet
  • Katherine Arundell (died 4 March 1642)
• Hon. Elizabeth Mary Arundell, married in 1606 Sir John Philpot, whose settlement for the marriage between them was made on 14 June^[2]
