Democratic Party (Guam)

The Democratic Party is a political party in Guam. It is affiliated to the United States Democratic Party.

Its most prominent member is Madeleine Z. Bordallo, Guam's delegate to the U.S. House of Representatives since 2003.

At the last election in November 2006, the party won 7 out of 15 seats in the legislature and its gubernatorial candidate Robert A. Underwood lost to Republican incumbent Felix P. Camacho by a 48% to 52% margin.

In January 2008, the party won a special election filling the vacancy left by the death of a Republican senator, becoming the majority party in the legislature.
