The Follo Line ( _no. Follobanen) is a planned railway between Oslo and Ski, Norway. The railway will be built for high-speed at 200 km/h and run parallel to the Østfold Line, that the railway will supplement. The line will have four stations: Oslo Central Station, Kolbotn, Velvestad and Ski. The railway will allow travel to Ski from Oslo in 12 minutes. The projects date back to 1995–96 and has been approved by authorities, though construction will not start until 2011 and not completed until 2015–2020, and includes renovation of Ski and Kolbotn stations as well as the all-new station at Velvestad. A large section of the railway, from Oslo to Velvestad, will be in a tunnel. Construction of Koltbotn–Ski will be performed first, then the construction of Kolbotn–Oslo. The name Follo Line has as of 2007 not been officially approved. There has been raised criticism that the Eastern Østfold Line commuter trains will not be able to connect to the new railway, and will thus have to use the old line, even if they don't stop at any of the other stations along the line.
