Coleen Sommer

Coleen Sommer

Coleen Sommer (born June 6, 1960) is a retired high jumper from the United States, who was born as Coleen Rienstra. She represented her native country at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea.[1] She set her personal best (1.98 metres) on 1982-06-26 in Durham.

As a student at Arizona State University, she captured two national collegiate (AIAW) championships. In addition to a pair of U.S. national championship, Sommer also claimed two Pan-Am titles. She missed the 1984 Summer Olympics while on maternity leave.
