The new Peninsula Town Center [http://www.steiner.com/?page=PenisulaTownCenterProject] is an open air mixed-use development located in Hampton, Virginia on the historic Virginia Peninsula. Hampton, Virginia is fifth largest of the Seven Cities of Hampton Roads within the Hampton Roads MSA with a population over 1.6 million. The Hampton Roads MSA is the fourth-largest metropolitan area in the southeastern United States and the largest between Washington, D.C., and Atlanta, Georgia. Hampton, Virginia is home to many notable assets such as Fort Monroe, Langley Air Force Base, NASA Langley Research Center, Hampton Coliseum, and Hampton University.

Peninsula Town Center is located upon the site of the original Coliseum Mall. Coliseum Mall was an enclosed mall constructed in 1973 by Mall Properties, its first and only owner. Building upon it longtime commitment to the citizens of Hampton and the greater [Hampton Roads Community] Hampton Roads MSA] , Mall Properties has teamed with Steiner + Associates (the nation's leader in mixed use developments and developer of: Easton Town Center in Columbus, Ohio; Zona Rosa in Kansas City, Missouri; Newport on the Levee in Newport, Kentucky and more recently: The Greene near Beavercreek, Ohio; Bayshore near Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Glorypark in Arlington, Texas; to create the Peninsula Town Center.

The Peninsula Town Center, will feature a mix of large department stores and mass retailers to complement leading specialty shops and top restaurants. The commercial stores and restaurants will be intermixed with office space and residential townhouses and apartments to create a lively and walkable 24-hour development. Peninsula Town Center will feature beautifully landscaped parks, squares, and streets which will welcome customers, workers, business owners, and families with a mix of concerts and cultural arts performances. High-end residences will invite baby boomers, young married couples, and singles of all ages to establish new homes. Families will come together to enjoy a sense of place and community, and neighbors will come to live, work, and play in order to take advantage of the many amenities located within a short walking or biking distance. The Peninsula Town Center will take advantage of and build upon the Coliseum Central area's strategic location and unique sense of place within the Hampton Roads MSA.
