The Lewis Glucksman Gallery is an award-winning art gallery in University College, Cork, Republic of Ireland. [ [http://www.glucksman.org/index.htm Lewis Glucksman Gallery - Official Website] ]

Opened to the public by the President of Ireland, Mary McAleese on 14 October 2004, the Glucksman gallery was named Best Public Building in Ireland by the RIAI in June 2005. [ [http://www.glucksman.org/building.htm Lewis Glucksman Gallery - About the building] ] Designed by Irish practice O'Donnell + Tuomey architects [O'Donnell + Tuomey website [http://www.odonnell-tuomey.ie] ] , the architecture of the gallery has been awarded several prestigious prizes including a UK Civic Trust award, a RIBA award as well as inclusion on the final shortlist for the 2005 Stirling Prize. University College, Cork is substantially located on a single campus adjoining Cork city centre and the gallery building occupies a landmark site at the main entrance to this campus. The gallery is named for its benefactor, Wall St. financier and chairman of Lehman Brothers, Kuhn, Loeb Inc., Lewis Glucksman. The inaugural director, Fiona Kearney, is a fellow of the Clore Leadership Programme and an alumnus of the Salzburg Global Seminar.
